Any young business mind dreams of being a CEO, heading up a company and making key decisions which will change and improve operations. CEOs and entrepreneurs like Audrey Gelman are some of the world’s most talented business people yet there are often myths which people believe about them, which we are going to try set right today. 

Many of these individuals, regardless of what sector they are working in, have a lot of common traits and characteristics, both personally and professionally. Here however, are some slices of information which you may not be aware of about these incredible business minds. 

Reading Confusion 

Many myths swirl around about the number of books which CEOs get through each week, which simply isn’t true across the board. What we do know however is that CEOs have a real passion for learning and for seeking to find ways in which to improve themselves. This is probably where the notion comes from that these busy men and women are bookworms. 

Hotheads 

Another common misconception here is that CEOs are hot heads who bark and shout orders all day and get regularly frustrated about issues. The reality however is that these men and women are in fact very cool indeed and it is thanks to this that they are in the position which they are. The saying goes that you should keep your head even whilst those around are losing theirs, and that is just what happens in the case of CEOs. There will of course be times where the frustration comes out, but generally they are the most relaxed and least emotional. 

Wealthy 

There are an enormous amount of wealthy CEOs in the world, but being a CEO is not enough always to make you a wealthy person. This myth likely comes from the fact that they are usually the highest paid people in the company, by nature of their position. Being well paid however does not necessarily make you wealthy, and many of the world’s CEOs are not rolling in cash quite as much as many believe. 

Work Shy 

It is easy for those hard workers at the bottom of a business to assume that those at the top are lazy. It is true of course that once you get to executive level that the job changes somewhat. What people fail to realize is that because of the additional responsibility which they have as heads of an entire company, the job in fact becomes much harder. Not only this but CEOs actually put in more hours than most people in the business and even when they are not at work, they are consumed by it. This is a vitally important myth to bust here, because CEOs are most certainly not lazy, but rather the hardest workers in the room.
